History of Roman Hair

2016

Two friends, Roman and Konstantin, are involved in selling chemicals for industrial hair and wool bleaching and dyeing. That year, they accidentally attended an exhibition in Dortmund (Germany), where they were introduced to the dyeing of women's hair for the first time and came up with the idea of professionally dyeing natural hair.

2017

Since the friends were selling chemicals, they needed raw materials to learn on. Their first trip for raw materials took them to Yiwu, China (Zhejiang province), where they purchased the first 5 kilograms of raw material. This hair, after processing, turned out to be incompatible with Slavic hair types, and they were advised to travel to India or Vietnam.

2018

Roman flew to Kolkata, India, and purchased 12 kilograms of raw material, which was bleached and dyed. However, the ideal result was not achieved. The search for suppliers continued, as did experiments with hair bleaching.

2019

Due to the difference in hair structure between Asian and Slavic types, a decision was made to work only with more expensive raw materials - Ukrainian. All major cities in Ukraine were visited, and hundreds of hair salons were approached to establish connections with suppliers of Slavic children's and adult hair. Good results were achieved with this raw material.

2020

Roman showed great interest in the field of hair dyeing and production, while Konstantin focused on the sales of hair and wool lightening chemicals. This year, the company Hair Studio was founded.

2021

Hair Studio participated in beauty exhibitions in Kyiv, Warsaw, and Istanbul. The first wholesale shipments began for extension masters in cities such as Kyiv, Dnipro, Odessa, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Uzhhorod. The company expanded quickly, gaining a reputation for the quality of its hair, and the decision was made to open a store.

2022

Unfortunately, due to the start of the war, the store opening had to be postponed. The Chief Technologist, Alena, was sent to Turkey for training in hair toning in Bursa with top Turkish master Hanifi of the global company Dolunay. In mid-2022, the company’s Instagram page and website resumed activity. Our product once again began to be shipped to European countries and across Ukraine.

2023

The company rebranded from Hair Studio to Roman Hair and began selling hair retail worldwide. An experienced manager, Valentin, joined the company, focusing on the popularization and development of the Roman Hair brand in North America and Australia.

2024

The opening of the largest store for natural women’s hair in Kyiv. There is good cooperation with our masters in Poland, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic, Italy, and Turkey. The company is growing rapidly, and the brand is becoming well-known. Due to the high demand for hair, plans for 2025 include opening stores in Warsaw and Istanbul.
